--Chapter 5--Wednesday
31 - 10 - 07
Day 13
it was yesterday, we marched through the mountain pass like a dead army towards Mathscow. many lacked rest. and we knew the battle that lie ahead will be apocalyptic. into battle with one of the biggest powers of the enemy without ample rest sounds almost suicidal. but orders are orders. even if we were ordered to jump off a cliff we would have to. and so we marched in the dead of the night, on and on until dawn when we arrived to a perfect good morning. a great plain separated us. on the other side, they were all entrenched and further back some machine gun bunkers. morons like i thought they were, one grenade lobbed into the trench and thats it.
and so it began. the battle against the third power of the enemy. perhaps the strongest of them all. it was almost like routine. this time, the enemy were casters. which explains the many formations carved into the ground. formations that looked like circles but with many lines intersecting it. once we took positions and started firing, the formations suddenly lit up. then the skies turn a sick green and it started raining x's & y's. each one of these exploded upon hitting the ground. it was terrifying as we shot wildly at the x-y rain that were falling toward us. seemed ages before this cleared off. casualties couldn't be avoided. however we never let our spirits down. they think our morale would be shattered easily. well too bad they didnt count their algebra.
as other magic were casted such as a flaming ball of numbers and a cumulative frequency curved illusion blade, their blood started to spill too. when they were casting spells, they had to stand still and do some chanting. thats when our lucky break came. shooting them as they chant was simply too easy. but once one finished chanting, it would get painful for us. so we had to pick them off quickly with one shot one kills. both sides spilled massive amounts of blood. or rather our men were incinerated. but after a long long fight, we emerged victorious. heavy casualties were suffered. our company was literally reduced by a third.
then we were devastated by another order. the privateers fighting in other parts on the mainland were heavily outnumbered and we were split into 2 platoons and sent to different states. i was sent further inland to China. as we were air-lifted to China at around 0020 hours we got a birds eye view of the other provinces. charred by constant bombardment were the remains of those lands.
we landed on the outskirts of China today at 0800 hours where we were issued an order to rendezvous with the privateers who had backed into a bunker as they were heavily outnumbered. after some briefing, we headed out to the last known location of the chinese. well it took no time finding them since chinese tend to speak so damn loudly. i didnt think i could speak half as loudly even if i screamed into a microphone.
after mere minutes of hunting we located their position. my company was rather surprised to discover that the chinese were only a group of militia. they werent proper soldiers at all. it made me wonder how can these privateers lose to men that had had no proper military training. well perhaps i should have thought twice. half way down the fight i was hit in the right shoulder. unable to support my rifle without my right hand i couldn't kill anyone and i could get killed. so i was brought back to bunker where i was treated for my wounds and given rations. no surprise when i found my company returning to the bunker laughing away at the difficulty in defeating the chinese.
tomorrow we will be split once again. i will be moved far out to the eastern coast. now there it is just the remnants of the great O army that we have left to destroy. 2 of the great powers have been defeated. now we are just waiting for those back at U.S.A to report their victory.

Day 13
2 days ago, we invaded England. fighting an enemy in the heart of their home ground was sort of intimidating. however, everyone fought well. the enemy awed at our might. although the fight lasted long, there were no difficulties in defeating them. they were just numerous. the battle of England seemed over. seemed like the day has ended in victory. a hard day of fighting was over.. or was it.
from out of nowhere, we were countered by legions of freaks. freaks that resembled the shapes of numbers and alphabets. caught on our back foot, we were unable to take them head on properly. many were loss on the initial attack. then as more poured into the battlefield, we were hit by the cold hard truth. looks like its going to be a much longer and bloodier day than we all expected. but we fought on, on and on with the thought that we would never see the next sunrise. they were pretty darn well armed. seems like they were here to back their allies up. well too late for them. if they had arrived earlier then we would have been doomed. mortars rained down on us. but it seemed there was a trick to avoid getting hit. by judging the curve of smoke left behind by the mortar shell, u can roughly estimate where the shell will hit. so the next shell that approached, just check the angle and degree of elevation and you would be able to dodge it.
though they were difficult to combat at first, slowly we managed to recover from the unexpected hit. as we recovered our momentum, their ranks began falling fast. it seemed like we had many skilled men capable of dealing with these monsters. they seemed like some sort of undead that takes more than the usual rounds to kill. by nightfall, we have reduced them to just a hand full. no more than 200 and by midnight, they were defeated altogether. we've pulled off what we thought was truly judgment day. the battle ground has turned into a killing field. a graveyard made in a single day. we could literally bathe in the blood of the fallen.
we were allowed insufficient rest before being issued another order.. to counter the attack of the mathians. those high ranks are pretty damn big assholes. issuing dreadful orders and giving us insufficient rest to recoup. our orders were to march straight into Mathscow. the high ranks expected them to be rather empty after having sent such a huge portion of their army to aid the English. . . little did we knew that it would be an even bloodier battle then.

25 - 10 - 07
Day 7
i arose from my tent around at 1100 hours. still half asleep, i sat outside my tent, stoning for a while. the view from the southern shores was quite a pretty site. i could have sketched the view if i havent been stoning so much. transport was due to depart at approximately 1330 hours so i had some time to myself. well since i kinda got bored of slacking, i tried studying our enemy for today. it was really boring. and so at 1330 hours sharp, the combat craft arrived and we all bundled in.
the trip was nice. . . quiet and peaceful, no one made any sound. how ironic of me to use the word peace when we were heading toward the face of war.
we hit land at around 1430 hours. all prayers said, we charged up the shoreline. first, we had to make our way through montego bay, along the montego river. it was filled with traps, environmental traps to be precise. those damn bastards really do use landscape to their favor. it seems this time the enemy is a trap specialist.after we made through the bay, we came out into an open space surrounded by mountains. there were racks of some sort scattered everywhere. those racks seem to be used to suspend things. and indeed they were. those Echo people, those fools. they obviously didnt pay special attention to their surroundings. a bunch of them walked right under the rack and instantly, they were grabbed by the neck and pulled up, suspended in mid air. those geogies must have very sick minds. from below the racks some sort of sprinkler popped out of the ground and started spraying some sort of chemical at the soldiers' legs. instantly, their legs began to dissolve. a revolting sight. screams echoed all around us. its a good thing i studied their trap patterns before combat. then as we pushed on, we encountered another trap. the oldest of all traps, and yet simple and deadly. a hole dug and filled with that chemical which were sprayed from the sprinklers before. these holes were covered so well that it just blended with the surrounding earth. i really dont want to describe what exactly happened to those who fell in.
finally, we came out into an open space. surrounded by rivers and a great frozen mountain ahead. the geogies were all stationed on the hill just beside the frozen mountain. it seemed queer at first, then it became clear. orders were screamed to get to higher ground. but it was too late. the geogies had some sort of device which melted the whole mountain in just seconds. the rivers instantly overflowed. everyone made a mad scramble for higher ground. running for high ground, dodging bullets that shoot pass your head by mere centimeters... once on high ground, defeating the enemy was just too simple. it seems that their initial plan was to kill all of us with those three areas of death traps. once they saw that there were still so many of us who are so willing to pawn their heads, they began to freak out. seriously they only had the skills for traps. face to face with guns, they just useless at it. by now the plains where we stood moments ago was just an ocean now and the high grounds emerged from this sea like stranded islands. what remains of the geogie army was easily eliminated. before long, we were air lifted to dry ground and we encamped near the edge of Geography. it was a successful attack. we now have an outpost on enemy soil.
the enemy has withdrawn deeper into the heart of the land. we are spared three days to rest and recoup and recover for injured men. monday we will be invading the second major outpost. England. its going to be a very long and gruesome day.

--Chapter 2--Wednesday
24 - 10 - 07
Day 6
today we took the fight to one of the three major outposts. it seems like i have not been paying attention to combat briefing. we were beaching on the south side of the island of U.S.A. which is where those damn chemical assholes were encamped. but it appeared that the physical enemies were not camped together with the chems. i was prepared for a long day of fighting. then i found out that physies were camped on the opposite side of the island. the plan was to attack the chemies first. if we cream them those physies will be drawn to the southern shores. when they make their way there we will split into 2 squads. one of us would dock on the east and hit them from the back. the other would beach on the north and burn their encampment, hopefully cutting of their communications.
and so we attacked south U.S.A today. we were joined by the 4th Echo company today. i guessed i havent been studying much. once we were in firing range i didnt know what to do. there seems to be a pattern which you have to study in order to make accurate shots on them. but i didnt know that obviously. if all soldiers were like me i think the world would be in utter chaos by now. looking around me i saw the 4th Echo men firing accurate shots. their killing rate was staggering. since i didnt have the technique, why not try wild? so i loaded my gun, stood up and just sprayed wildly and aimlessly. if my vision still serves me well i believe i was able to kill a few of them. at the end of the day, all the chemies lay dead. creamed as planned. and we heard that the physies were alerted by chemies who escaped the carnage. they're on the march here right now. little do they know that their friends on this side are all screwed.
well its a good thing i didnt take any bullets. those freaks were using a special type of ammunition called ethanol. i've heard if you were hit by one of those you'll feel dizzy and lose your head and start walking around like an idiot. sort of like going nuts.
i received a letter just a while ago. they're pulling me out of the fight on U.S.A, together with my whole company. they're sending us to the mainland. tomorrow we will be transported to the mainland. we'll be landing on the western province called Geography. i heard those dudes there use the landscapes and the environment to kill. sounds freaky, and crappy too.
i should go study their fight patterns if i want to survive this fight. this war is really so complicating. their army has so many different specialists. and i thought theres only that 'shoot to kill' concept. looks like 'shoot to kill' aint gonna work this time.
i better go prepare for tomorrow. its a long sail from U.S.A to the mainland. i've prepared myself a kit kat. kit kat sounds like the japanese term 'kito katsu' which means sure win. so i hope i'll win for sure if i eat it.

~~~war of the papers~~~--chapter 1--
Thursday
18 - 10 - 07
Day 1.
a horrible start in the war against the papers. i wasnt able to get proper rest yesterday. and i missed the waking trumpet. almost lost my life on the first day of war. hopefully i will be able to live through it.
today we faced the first wave of the invaders. already a difficult opponent for a first wave. the enemy today was a special force which included glass tubes and chemicals and metal pins and a glass block. although the glass block and pins were very intimidating at first sight, they didnt post much of a threat. or not to some of us. but it took took too much time to defeat them. then came the glass tubes and the chemical army. it was horrible.. at first i didnt even know how to fight them. they were so complex. but after studying their movements it became a little easier. however we suffered many casualties. it appeared that the weapon that was most effective against them in the end was a salt called zinc carbonate. once we found out we were able to fight them back and eventually destroy them. if only we had realized it earlier we would not have lost so many men.
suffered injuries on this first day. one of the heated glass tubes tried to hit me from the back. when i realized it was too late. i turned and it stabbed me on the chest, burning a hole trough my Kevlar armor. but i forced it off before it was able to burn my skin and was pretty lucky it didnt burn my grenade compartment.
victorious, i celebrated with my company by heading to one of the fast food camps near the battleground for some food. though it was horrible, it will have to do.
we were successful in taking the island of Practical. next we will be taking the fight to one of the major outpost. the U.S.A (United Science Army) there we will be facing the bastards who were in command over the enemy we faced today.
well i have to go polish my guns now. preparations for the next battle awaits. but i' m a slacker. this is why i merely escape death on the battlefield.
THANK YOU everyone. now its the o lvls. i wish everyone all the best. graduate and live all of your dreams. lets hope our paths may cross again and we can spend some time again together getting into mischief. and if we do not, lets keep the memories we had together in a chest, and lock it in our hearts. an unforgettable 5 years of life. perhaps the last 5 years of youth. never dwell in the past they say. . . but never forget them either.
hmm. i may have said it a little to much like a funeral rather than graduation. heh.
